Mōrena koutou,

Welcome to Week 10 and the final week of the term.  It is great to see we are over the Flu hump and attendance has bounced back to normal.  In our class competition last week Korimako took out first place and was closely followed by Karoro and Tui.

Reminders for this week:

Tuesday -  Hawkes Bay Cross Country @ Hawkes Bay Showgrounds -  Meeting at school at 8.50am.

Friday -  Last Day of Term 3 - School finishes at the normal time of 2.45pm

Monday - 12 October - First Day of Term 4 - Mihi Whakatau to welcome our new students and their families.

SPORTS REGISTRATIONS 

Term 4 sports registrations are now open. The closing dates for each sports are listed below:

• Netball Year 0-4 - 16 October 2026
• Futsal - 23 September 2026
• Hockey - 9 October 2026
• Water Polo - 25 September 2026

WEDNESDAY PIE DAY

This is the last week to order your Mince, Mince & Cheese or Sausage Roll for lunch. The cut-off time is Tuesday at 5.00pm. Please order at the following link: https://tinyurl.com/2z5rwkyx

Any money made will support trips and activities for our Year 6 and 7 children, while our Year 8's are on camp in Term 4.....all while filling our bellies!

Hockey Year 0-2 and Year 3-4 - Unison Power Sticks (a programme specifically designed for beginners who are keen to see what hockey is all about and learn the basic skills)

Summer Hockey Year 3-8

Water Polo Year 3-6

Futsal all ages

On Wednesday, 9 September the PTA are providing every child with a Creamy Tomato Pasta with Garlic Bread for lunch. If your child has any dietary requirements, if you know your child won’t eat this flavour pasta or you are able to help out on the day from 11.30am, please advise Maree in the office (mareeb@eskdale.school.nz) as soon as possible. 

The PTA would love you to support this pasta lunch by donating a dried pack of spaghetti pasta if you can for the amazing Bellyful New Zealand “Spaghetti September” pasta drive.

On Saturday night we have the Year 8 camp fundraiser quiz night on Saturday, there are still a couple of tables available, if you would like to come along please book at the following link.

The Enviro Squad have a seed fundraiser running at the moment, if you would like to place an order please fill out the attached order form and return it to the office.
