Hi - my name is Nicole Bason and I have the pleasure of teaching in Kotare. I enjoy music and dance as well as having a very keen interest in Science. In my spare time I like to spend it with family and friends as well as doing a bit of travelling. I am married to Tim and we have two lovely (most of the time) girls. I am excited to get to know you and your family as well as the wider community of Eskdale.

Kia ora Koutou. I have worked in many different jobs and spent a lot of time overseas before studying to be a teacher. I have been teaching for over twenty years and have taught at all levels of the Primary School. I enjoy teaching. In my spare time I like to be outside. I relax by walking, biking, tramping, gardening, and I enjoy a pilates workout!

Ki ora, I enjoy working at Eskdale School. There have been lots of changes since I started here and there will be a lot more. But the oak tree, the history and the supportive family feeling give this school an "edge".
Outside school my partner and I have a small block of land we farm. My other interests are the Environment, I am a keen gardener, growing native trees to plant to encourage bird corridors. I enjoy the outdoors, reading and creating mosaics as well as reading, catching up with friends.
Kea: Year 3/4
Year 3/4 Syndicate Leader
ENVIRO Lead Teacher
Whānau House: Rimu
I've taught for a number of years, covering all levels except the new entrants. I've been at Eskdale School since 1995 and love being part of the Eskdale family.
In my spare time you might find me on the side of a sports field cheering my grandchildren on, biking one of the bike trails with my husband Tom, sweating it out at Bootcamp, enjoying the great food and wine our area has to offer, listening to music or curled up with a good book. Over the years I've been at Eskdale School I've seen many changes but one thing that hasn't changed is the awesome kids and families we have here.

Kia ora whānau,
It has been my privilege to have started my teaching career here at Eskdale School. We have an amazing learning community and students are given every opportunity to grow and achieve their goals. Residing in Napier with my partner Nicole and our rambunctious feline Barty, I greatly enjoy the dynamic and innovative direction of modern education. I enjoy all aspects of the curriculum particularly mathematics, the arts, and physical education. I enjoy being active whether it be on the football field, squash court, or training for a marathon. I love being a member of this exciting profession.
Toroa: Year 7/8
Syndicate Leader Year 7/8
Inquiry Leader: Te Ao Māori
Whānau House: Kauri
I have been teaching at Eskdale for a ‘few’ years now and have taught all levels. Of course, I love teaching year 7/8’s the best! I have two children, a boy and a girl, and three stepsons, all of which, bar my eldest stepson, attended Eskdale School. I love to spend time with my family and my dog Cocoa. My husband and I love going on road trips either on his motorbike or in one of his Jag cars (sometimes I even get to drive one to school!). I enjoy creating pieces of art using water colours, reading and am a bit of a closet petrol head. My happy place is playing my piano. I absolutely love being a part of Eskdale school, watching our wonderful students grow and succeed in everything they do.
